In Samantaka Swarharu, the host explores issues of interests for the physically challenged in an effort to address not only their needs and concerns but to develop a sense of solidarity, lacking at present, among the wider public.

The objectives Samantaka Swarharu include:
To educate the general public and in particular policy-makers about the plight of the physically challenged and to advocate and educate on the rights of this segment of the population in school, the work place and society as a whole. The show also aims at putting pressure on concerned authorities to introduce friendly policies and facilities for the physically challenged, to inform the physically challenged, of the resource available to them, to raise awareness among the community of physically challenged people on gender disparities, to change the bias perceptions in society about the physically challenged and to highlight their abilities as opposed to their disabilities.

The show features interviews and discussions/debate with policy makers and people working with the population of the physically challenged. The voice and experiences, including life achievements of the "differently able" are also broadcast on regular basis.
