Although Radio Sagarmatha is essentially a non-commercial radio and a non-profit organization, we have had to rely on some form of commercial advertising to add to other sources of revenue, in order to sustain the station. Radio Sagarmatha offers a variety of advertising services for small businesses, cultural events promoters and community organizations, among others.

Basic broadcast rate: Rs. 10 per second
Program sponsor:
- Musical weekly (one hour): Rs. 5000
- Musical weekly (half an hour): Rs. 2500
- Musical daily: Rs. 1500
Information and education
- 30 minute weekly: Rs. 6000
- 30 minute daily: Rs. 2000

Time Slot

Prime Time	5:45 -10 am and 5:00 - 9:30 pm	25% additional
Super Prime Time	Before BBC News at 8:45 pm	60% additional
Normal Time	Rest of the broadcast time

Incentives:
· One broadcast and recording is free for every 10 broadcasts.
· 5% discount if payment is made prior to broadcasting of advertisement.
· Provision of 15% agency commission to advertisement agencies.
Note:
· Fixed time release: 25% additional charge.
· VAT Charge: Exclusive 10% to all bills.
· Announcement advertisement charge: Rs 300 (for lees than 60 seconds)
Terms:
- Rates are subject to change without notice.
- The spot advertisement will be rotated evenly in the particular time grid in absence of fixed time booking.
- Broadcast ready material has to be submitted 5 working days prior to the day of broadcast.
- Cancellations are subject to written notice, 5 working days prior to broadcast. Cancellations after that will be subjected to 10% cancellations fee. Cancellations within 2 working days will be charged full cost of the advertisement.
